3D Foam Cutting

Foam Cutting
My mind was just blown. I’m still researching this, but apparently you can send a 3D model to this company, and have a huge model built out of styrofoam - as in like 30 feet tall! Wow, that is amazing. If any of you have seen the new Chris Angel show - the stage was done using this method. Check out this company that does it:

More of my art

Here is another guy I am working on… Still not “there” but I’m getting close. Hopefully this one is a little better than the last. My wife says the axes look too “cartoony”. Any input from the Nation?

Some Art I Dun…

Here is a piece I wipped up this morning. It think it turned out pretty decent - what do you guys think? It’s not really completely done - but it’s as far as this one will go. I’m working on a new piece that I’ll put more time into to share with the nation…

How It Ends - Devotchka - Gears of War 2

Gears of War 2 looks pretty dope. I don’t play video games, other than Street Fighter 2 on my old ass play station once every 3 months or so, but I like them never the less. The news Gears of War commercial had a great song on it, so I tracked it down and now you can hear it in it’s entirety here!

Light Years Animated Movie AKA Gandahar

Fantastic Animation: René Laloux - Light Years AKA Gandahar
I first saw this movie as a kid, and then strangely again when I was in high school. Totally tripped out freaking film, and completely awesome in my opinion. I’d definitely suggest checking it out when you are good and mellow… I is was will be Gandaharian…

I think the whole thing is on You Tube, here is a bit:

DIY iPhone Scanner

DIY iPhone Scanner : clusterflock
I doodle all the time, and sometimes I want to get that doodle into my computer in a super quick way - not having to open photoshop, hook up my scanner, etc… I’ve been taking fairly crappy pictures with my RAZR and transferring them to my Macbook Pro via blue tooth - but then today I found another reason I want an iPhone - I guess they make decent quality “quick scanners” or whatever you’d like to call this (I guess most would call it a camera). Any way, have a look - directions on how to build the iphone scanner are on the inventors website:

Coffee Drinkers - Rediscover your Thermos!

thermos.jpg (JPEG Image, 398x650 pixels) - Scaled (55%)
Hello fellow coffee drinkers! You know, there is nothing better than a piping hot cup of coffee. Being a web designer, I work from home and I buy the best friggin coffee I can find. I pour a cup, and drink it over the course of about 1.5 hours. It gets cold. I like it hot. So, I decided today I would heat up my coffee (and cream) to a near boil, and fill up my thermos to keep it warm all day! I pour about 3 sips at a time, and enjoy hot coffee all day long. So, if you like hot coffee but haven’t thought to go that extra mile and pour it into a thermos, and then into your cup, know this: it’s like, really good and what not.

Pixie from LA Ink

I was just watching LA ink, and noticed Pixie for the first time. I guess I’ve seen her before in the few episodes that I’ve watched, but this time I really noticed her. Those tattoos she has are kind of tight! All rainbow bright, my little pony sort of stuff. Totally must have been a raver back in the day. Any way, does she have her firggin dimples pierced? How wierd! I don’t know, that kind of leaves the cute arena for me - I guess in theory it’s kind of cool…

Cormac McCarthy The Road - The Movie

Anyone here a fan of the Apocolypse? I am! Well, I think a post apocolyptic world is a cool genre for art and fiction any way. I wouldn’t think coffee would be readily available in such a scenario so I am “against the world ending”, in a non political way. Enough rambling. Looks like The Road by Cormac McCarthy is coming to the big screen! Great news - I think it will totally rock!. Here is an article on said subject - and if you haven’t read the book, for goodness sake go get it!
